Spam is the computer term for junk mail you get in your e-mail box or it can be referring to people in live chatrooms where a person posts a message over and over (like here on this board if someone posts the same message more than once).
Spam alert... well that term has so many meanings I don't think I can type them all down. Spam alert could mean there is a copy of the same message getting repeatedly sent to a person or group of people over and over again. This could also be dangerous in that an e-mail like that could contain harmful computer viruses.
I'm a bit of a computer expert. Hope I didn't sound blabby to anyone. :0)
