I'm an Australian man and in my experience(been around the block more than a few times)plenty of Australian men wear speedos as underwear (and of course even more wear them as outer wear). It is very common for guys to wear them in all sports as underwear. Jockstraps are not as rare as people are saying-I'v seen the straps showing quite a few times on televised football matches.
